Some Links and Why Commercials Are Good...

I just did a post over at Fangs, Fur and Fey asking what in God's name gets a reader to pick up a book, buy it and actually read it. So go check out that thread.

Also, over at the League, we're celebrating Black History Month with some guest bloggers. This week Carole McDonnell stops by to talk about her book WIND FOLLOWER and an odd fascination with Cowboys. Scan down the page for some reading recs from the Carl Brandon Society. Later on in the month, I'm excited to announce we've got an interview scheduled with Tananarive Due. So you're going to want to keep coming back to check for that.

Now. Commercials sometimes provide a public service. Take the latest Ford ad. I don't really remember anything about it, except that the music was Mocean Worker (it said so in tiny print). So I went ahead and checked them out. Enter the MoWo was the album I settled on and it's a sexy motherfucker. A catchy blend of jazz vocals, ethnic beats and techno. Here's a track. This one from the new album...

Waddya think?
